LK Sense Solution

About us

Engineering with a soul, and a test report to go with it

We are an independent engineering company with two equal directions: aviation systems and marine autonomous systems. Software, electronics and test engineers work in one team, so an aircraft and a vessel go through the same discipline of design, verification and documentation.

We take work where the answer is not in a catalogue: integration, autonomy, qualification and long-term support. Where a proven product already exists, we supply it and stand behind it for its whole service life.

Tested first

A feature is not done until it has flown or sailed a full mission.

Say the hard part

Risks and slips go in the weekly report, not in the final invoice.

Own the seam

Software, board, airframe and hull are one system. We take responsibility for the joints.

Technical expertise

01 · Competence

Avionics and flight control

Autopilots, navigation and air data: integration, tuning and flight test.

02 · Competence

Marine autonomy and navigation

Guidance, collision avoidance and acoustic positioning for USV, AUV and ROV.

03 · Competence

Embedded electronics

PCB design, firmware and power electronics for harsh environments.

04 · Competence

Communication and datalinks

Radio, mesh and satellite links, with store and forward for weak coverage.

05 · Competence

Systems integration

Interface control, payload integration and full-system verification.

06 · Competence

Test and qualification

EMC, vibration and environmental tests with complete documentation packs.

Quality standards

  • Quality management aligned with ISO 9001 and aerospace EN 9100 practice
  • EMC and environmental tests per EN 61000, MIL-STD-461 and RTCA DO-160
  • Software lifecycle informed by DO-178C and IEC 61508 practice
  • Documentation sets prepared for airworthiness and class society review
  • Version controlled releases, signed builds, change log per delivery
  • Export and dual use paperwork handled before shipment

Engineering approach

Requirements before hardware

We start from the mission and the interface documents, and write down what is still unknown.

Simulation, bench, field

Every release passes simulation, bench and hardware-in-the-loop tests before a flight or a sea trial.

Traceable releases

Each requirement links to a test, each build to a change log. Nothing ships unsigned.

Whole lifecycle

Training, spares and updates are planned at the start, not after the first failure.

Electronics room
2015 · Kyiv

Supply and testing, the hard way

The company started as an aviation equipment supply and test desk with one bench. The first year taught us why certification schedules slip: nobody reads the test plan until the article is already built.

2017 · Kyiv

Ground control, first integration

We wired a customer ground station to a new airframe and wrote the telemetry bridge for it. That job moved us from supplying parts to writing the software that makes parts work together.

Boards of our own

We set up a small electronics line: PCB design, assembly and bring up in one room. Being able to respin a board in days instead of weeks changed which projects we could take.

Uncrewed surface vessel at sea
2020 · Odesa

The first vessel that steered itself

A coastal survey operator needed a 6 m boat to run survey lines alone. We wrote the autopilot, the line planner and the operator console, then spent six weeks fixing what the sea found.

Below the surface

Adding AUV and ROV work forced a rebuild of the stack: acoustic positioning instead of GNSS, tether handling, and a pilot interface people could use in a moving deckhouse at night.

Two directions, one team

Aviation and marine work were organised as two equal directions sharing one software, electronics and test team. One project manager per contract removed the seam where most delays used to live.

From one vehicle to a mixed fleet

Mixed air and sea operations became a main product line: one operator watching UAVs and vessels, shared mission plans, and an offline mode for links that drop. An EU office opened in Warsaw.

The team

OKTEAM PORTRAIT PLACEHOLDER

Oleksandr K.

Founder, chief engineer

Started the company with one avionics test bench in 2015. Twenty years in aviation equipment, EMC and certification. Signs off every test report.

If the paperwork is not ready, the hardware is not ready.

IMTEAM PORTRAIT PLACEHOLDER

Iryna M.

Head of aviation systems

Leads UAV integration and avionics supply. Turns a customer mission into an airframe, a payload list and a flight test plan.

An aircraft is a set of interfaces that happens to fly.

MSTEAM PORTRAIT PLACEHOLDER

Marta S.

Head of marine autonomy software

Leads the autonomy stack: state estimation, mission planning, the operator console. Nine years in control software, five of them at sea.

The sea finds the branch you never tested. Every time.

PHTEAM PORTRAIT PLACEHOLDER

Pavlo H.

Lead control systems engineer

Writes autopilots and estimators for aircraft and vessels. Builds the simulation rigs we use before a platform is available.

Simulation buys you speed, not confidence.

ORTEAM PORTRAIT PLACEHOLDER

Olena R.

Certification and EMC lead

Runs test campaigns and documentation packs. Knows which reviewer will ask which question, and prepares the answer in advance.

I would rather fail in my chamber than in yours.

Taras V.

Project management and supply

Holds the schedule across software, electronics and supply. Prepares tender documents and keeps customs and export paperwork ahead of shipment.

Bad news travels fastest on my projects. That is the policy.
